What's on my mind?
I said something about the referral game in my recent video. And the more I think about it, the more I realise that referrals are really a trust game.
People don't refer strangers, they refer people whose work they've seen and trust. People whose names they won't be afraid to put on the line.
That's why strategic relationships matter.
It is not just the number of connections on your LinkedIn or the message you sent to someone you’ve never spoken to before. I'm talking about building real relationships before you need something from them.
The goal is not to know everybody, but to build enough trust that the right people remember you when the right opportunity shows up.
And that's exactly why I'm bringing some incredible people who have actually built global careers into one room, for the Global Career Webinar 01.
We will be talking about the things your CV doesn't teach you, how to navigate global opportunities, build valuable networks, develop the right competencies, and getting yourself into rooms that can change your career.
